We, the K’áhshó Got’ı̨nę, have been a sovereign nation with distinct systems of governance since time immemorial. Together, we will continue our journey in harmony with the environment to sustain a healthy and self-sufficient lifestyle for future generations. To honor our Creator and ancestors, we will protect and nurture the integrity of our K’áhshó Got’ı̨nę.
In 1921 we signed Treaty 11 with Canada. In 1993 we entered into the Sahtu Dene and Metis Comprehensive Land Claim Agreement (the "SDMCLCA") alongwith other Indigenous nations, both Dene and Metis, in four nearby communities.
We connect with community members – and address specific issues – by being in community and for the community. The Secretariat organizes rotating events with associated Ambassadors.
Engage with us to regain what was lost, preserve what is important and pass lessons on to our youth, while we prepare for tomorrow – based on teachings from our Elders.

Our approach is reflected in who we are as K’áhshó Got’ı̨nę Nation. We support our Nation's cultural practices and ceremonies – fundamental to maintaining our identity and growing pride for our Citizens.
